YOUth Can Make a Difference: haltonyouth.comBy Mrs. Continenza 2005-04-11
“YOUth Can Make a Difference” is the name of the workshop which was hosted by the Halton Regional Youth Advisory Committee as well as the Halton Region. Six youths from CtK attended the all-day event and learned all about positive youth involvement and how to make a difference in their community as well as how to successfully combat negative youth stereotypes in an efficient way. The six youths were: Amber Bannerman-Maxwell, Andrea Coelho, Deniel d’Entremont, Jessica Garvey, Anthony Luna, and Brandon Stewart. Patrick Byrne and his team were key players in organizing the event which was a lot of fun and a huge success with about 130 youths from all over Halton in attendance. If YOU are interested in making your community more “youth-friendly”, just check out the haltonyouth.com website for more information. After all, YOUth can make a difference!
