CTK EURO TRIP (We would walk 5000 miles…)

40 students (37 girls and 3 boys) and 4 teachers embarked on a 10 day journey that took them 4000 miles away to France and Italy. It took over a year to plan and in the blink of an eye it was over. Now stories and memories are being shared throughout CTK’s hallways.

It was an experience of a lifetime. The tour of Paris included the Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral, Chateau de Versailles, the elevators... and of course the Eiffel Tower by night, giving everyone a unique perspective of the city of lights. The group visited Nice, Eze and Monaco allowing for a true appreciation of the Côte d’Azur before traveling through Tuscany en route to Florence. In Florence we visited Santa Croce, Santa Maria dei Fiori and Piazza della Signoria. Through Italy the group had an opportunity to see such landmarks as the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi before their final destination in Rome. Is it possible to see everything there is to see in Rome in only one day? Of course it is. All you need is a good pair of shoes, strong legs and the ability to withstand the crowded busses (So much Roma…So little Rooma).

Everywhere the group went; there was nothing but positive feedback about their behaviour, their positive outlook and their energetic spirit. You made CTK very proud.

Plans are currently underway for next year’s March trip to Europe. Please listen to the announcements for upcoming details.
