Several staff members from Christ the King Catholic Secondary School, put their best feet forward and walked 60 kms. in The Weekend To End Breast Cancer, on Sept. 9-11. Collectively, the team raised $24,000.00 for the Princess Margaret Hospital. Team members included Olivia Bailey, Monica Boissonneault, Carla Favero, Kathy Fach, Melanie Hewson, Cathy Jenkins, Christina Lane, Aldona Morrison, Nickie Piva and friend of CtK staff Kindree Chomicki. By the end of the walk, the words of Rosa Parks never rang more true, “My feets is tired but my heart’s got wings.” |
