Congratulations to Abby DeBruyn, this year’s winner of the Catholic Student Award. This award recognizes students who demonstrate Catholic values as they serve the school and broader community. The Annual Father Fogarty Awards Dinner brings together Catholic Student Award winners from across Ontario. We gathered at the Marriot Hotel on October 29 to enjoy dinner as we listened to student musicians. One hundred and eighteen student awardees were introduced and given a Father Fogarty pin. Abby has been involved as a student retreat leader, a Social Justice Committee member and as a Flight Sergeant in Air Cadets. What makes service become “Catholic” service is the spirit behind it. In all she does, Abby is positive, caring and unassuming. |
