All Souls and Remembrance Day

By Ms. Lozowsky
2005-11-14

On Tuesday November 1 religion classes were invited to attend prayer services in memory of those who have died. Students and staff were able to write the names of deceased friends and relatives on cards, which were pinned to the altar cloth. This was a simple and prayerful expression of our continuing care for those who have died. Anyone who wishes to may add to this memorial throughout November.

CtK marked the Year of the Veteran with Remembrance Day Services on November 11. With the help of many committed staff and students, the ceremony was remarkable. Emily Dimytosh and Matt Chambers shared duty as bagpipers, adding a totally new element to our service. Thanks to our flag party of Air Cadets; Meagan Buttle, Jessica DePippo and Jessica MacPhail. Jonathan Drury and Jordan Overland worked double speed to get the sound and lighting set for the early morning start. Our piano player, Ms Glasier, trumpet player Ms File and the Gospel Choir were excellent, as usual. Thanks as well to our readers; Lindsey Kelly, Chris Thibodeau and Justin Poirier; to Mr. Hodge, Mr. Locke and Mr. Harris for their work behind the scenes.
