Provincial Business Competition: a success!

On Monday December 12 and Tuesday December 13, 2005, fifteen of CtK’s strongest business students traveled to Toronto at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and Sheraton Hotel to compete in the DECA provincial final tournament. DECA is a student centred association committed to developing leaders in marketing and management.

The competition began with an impromptu oral presentation in both the team and individual rounds. All CtK teams were extremely successful and their ‘business perfect’ skills shone through. The next day, the delegates wrote their multiple choice tests and once again, did not disappoint.

Miko Uy led all CtK students, finishing in the top 10 students in the province. All other teams and individuals were also successful placing no lower than 27th place across Ontario in a field of 4,000 students.
The Christ the King DECA chapter members are: Dan Van Kessel, Danielle Decourcy, Ryan Burns, Graeme Owens, Anthony Luna, Dan Elgar, Neil Dewar, Shaun Harkley, Christopher Paonessa, Miko Uy, Megan Vito, Diana Bosnjak, Andrew Albrecht, Chris Kawasoe and Yan Yan Zhu.
Special thanks to Mr. Bertin for his leadership and commitment to making the team successful.

Congratulations to all members who participated, you “took care of business!”
