Washington Trip

After an eleven hour bus ride, we finally arrived in the US capital of Washington D.C.! The first night was filled with excitement and anticipation for the up coming events and tours. After misplacing Mrs. Cheal in Arlington Nation Cemetery and walking through history at the Holocaust and Smithsonian Museums we were ready for some entertainment! It was unfortunate that we were rained out at the Washington Nationals baseball game but one of the highlights of the trip came Saturday evening when we had the chance attend a musical called Shenandoah. We sang along to the songs of the Civil War while convincing Ohio students that the internet has just been introduced in Canada, we still lived in igloos and the advantages of 6 months of complete darkness and 6 months of complete light. We left Washington full of memories that we will treasure always. On behalf all the students on the trip we would like to thank Mrs. Cheal, Mr. Kennedy and Mr. Hayes for an awesome trip! “Next to lovin, I like fightin best!”
