What is a friend? In the words of Aristotle "A friend is a single soul dwelling in two bodies". This year the grade nines took part in Friend Fest where they shared a common lunch and afternoon full of games among their peers. It gave them all an opportunity to socialize and create strong bonds with each other. Grade nine is a chance for everyone to start over in a brand new school, with brand new faces, and brand new friendships. Friend Fest was one of the many ways grade nines could feel at home this year and it helped pave their way for the next few years at Christ the King to come. With the help of SAA, the senior students and several members of the staff; Friend Fest could not have taken place, their organizational skills made things happen and Friend Fest was yet another hit!

Spunky cheers, laughter, teamwork, skill, creativity and spirit were all present on the track and the grade nine student body had the chance to express themselves for the first time, it was a great way to start off their first year at Christ the King! This year’s winners were Ms. Bailey’s Phys Ed class, who filled the field with their memorable cheer and took the title of "Best Cheer". Mrs. Zamperin class and Mrs. Santoni’s class racked up the points and tied for first place!
