 Christ the King Internal Awards Ceremony 2006/2007By Robyn Henderson 2006-10-20
On Wednesday October 18th Christ the King held the Internal Awards Ceremony. Honour role students, along with internal award recipients attended a ceremony in their honour. Present were Father Lee from Holy Cross Parish, Blaine McCauley presenting awards on behalf of Mrs. McCauley and Ms. Mazzetti also giving awards on behalf of the school board. The evening started with a prayer from Father Lee followed by an uplifting rendition of the national anthem by the choir, directed by Ms. File. Ms. Vaitonis then gave a warm and welcoming speech to the students, staff, parents and guests.Honour role students from grade 10 to grade 12 were attending as well as award winners. One by one students were given a certificate for making the 2005/2006 honour role and were congratulated individually on stage. Approximately 330 people attended the awards ceremony to recognize the academic achievements of all the students. Some award winners were; grade 9 top average was given to Dayna Noltie. For grade 10 top average was given to Ryan Melia, and the grade 11 top average was given to Melanie Bechard.
The evening was a great way to celebrate the success and achievements of several of Christ the King students. Congratulations to all honour role and award winning students we hope your academic endeavours will continue to reflect your hard work! |
