Santa Claus Parade 2006By Robyn Henderson 2006-11-14
Oh the weather outside is frightful but CtK school spirit is surely delightful! On Sunday November 12, 2006 many of our students took part in the Santa Claus Parade that marched their way down Guelph Street and through Downtown Georgetown. Clubs such as Student Athletic Association, Student Council and sport teams such as the boys and girls basketball teams cheered GO Jags GO! Following closely to the students walking was the Christ the King float which was pulled by the Laidlaw’s family tractor. On the float were Ms. File’s lovely angels singing Christmas Carols! Thanks to Mr. Van de Valk and his team our float looked outstanding! It was decorated with a Christmas tree and many strands of blue and white lights! A great amount of effort went into the entire day. Thanks to all the students, teachers, parents and others who chose to show school spirit! The Santa Claus Parade has now become part of Christ the King tradition. |
