Among our fine traditions is the annual staff retreat. In the natural setting of Norval Outdoor School we enjoyed a leisurely and warm evening together, exploring the theme “Do Justice, Love Kindness and Walk Humbly with God”. The evening included good food, great conversation and excellent company. We spent some time getting to know each other better and did some theological reflection on just relationships among our colleagues. We ended with a Fireside Chat over hot chocolate, exchanging stories of kindness and identifying how each person present acts justly, loves kindness and walks with God. There was plenty of laughter. Kudos to Mr. DeSantis for being the only male present. We admire your courage. Thanks to all the attendees for making this a memorable event, and may next year’s retreat be the best ever too! |
