What is new at CtK you ask? You guessed it, we now have a huge and dynamic House System in place and this past Thursday, September the 6th was our first ever House Day. The House System at CtK is aimed at improving student performance while greatly increasing school spirit and providing a way for students to make new friends early. I can’t express how well our first House Day went! I have never seen students so involved, tuned in and ready to make the best of their High School years here at Christ the King. All of the staff owe Andy Thibodeau, our special guest speaker, for the great job he did speaking to our grade 9 students. Andy really got our day started off on the right foot. The induction presentation that followed was equally incredible! The prefects did an amazing job prepping the presentation and totally blowing us away with their stomp routine!! In my years here at Christ the King I can’t remember a day that went as well as our House Day. Many new friendships formed and much fun was had by all. May this be a sign of things to come as we move forward with the next several House events. Grade 9’s…stay excited because the best is yet to come! |
