Course Selection and Online Registration

All option forms should be completed online for the upcoming school year. To view the Course Calendar (courses offered and their descriptions) go to http://schools.hcdsb.org/guidance/default.aspx

When you’re ready to make your course selections go to http://courserequests.hcdsb.org

Please follow the step by step instructions outlined below to select next year’s courses. Please ensure all selections and necessary forms are completed by the deadline or a late penalty will be applied.

Step by Step Instructions – User Guide For Online Registration

  1. Go to http://courserequests.hcdsb.org
  2. Log in using the username and password that was given to you.
  3. Select a course in the course slide menu on the left.
  4. Click on the "Add" button.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the eight courses.
  6. Select two elective alternates:
    • Click a radio button beside your first elective course.
    • Select an alternate elective course in the course slide menu on the left.
    • Click on the "Add Alternate" button. The alternate course appears on the right hand side of the screen.
    • Repeat "a" to "c" for your second elective alternate.
To Remove a Course That You Selected
  1. Use the radio button to select the course from the list of selections.
  2. Click the "Remove" button.
When You Are Done
  1. Click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Click on the "report" button and print the report that is displayed.
  3. *Get your Parent/Guardian to sign and date the report and return it to your homeroom teacher with your cheque made out to Christ the King Catholic Secondary School.

    Deadlines: Deadline for On-line application is March 5, 2009. Please return the original Option Guide with all student and parental signatures and your course verification sheet9also signed) along with the $65 registration fee to your homeroom teachers by March 6, 2009.

    Late Fees: An additional $15 will be required after Wed. March 11, 2009.

    Students have the option this year to pay through CASHLESS ACCOUNT instead of by cheque or cash - click on this feature when choosing your courses on line to learn how to do it.
