Athletic Director’s Reflections

By Mrs. O'Connor

Welcome guests, coaches and athletes to Christ the King Catholic Secondary School’s Second Annual Athletic Banquet.

Charles Swindoll once wrote, “Nobody is a whole chain. Each one is a link. But take away one link and the chain is broken. Nobody is a whole team. Each one is a player. But take away one player and the game is forfeited.” This sentiment continues to ring true throughout the many and varied programs in which our athletes have participated this year. We have looked to each other for strength in our choice of direction and affirmation of our efforts in each challenge. We have embraced surprising victories and stood proud and steadfast in the face of disappointment. But throughout it all the opportunity to continue to mold and shape the future of the Jaguar spirit has never been rejected. All stakeholders have shown true collaboration, leadership and collegiality and the roar of Christ the King Athletics grows louder.

Stand proud and reflect on how far our dedication has taken us in two short years, for I know that the “paw print” has left its impression upon me. Ken Walsh describes Something Real - “No matter what field your work lies in, if you do something real, something genuine in that field, it will live on after you—and that part of you will be eternal.”

Our faith and our dreams, our pursuits and accomplishments—may they always remain real for you through CtK Athletics.

GO JAGS GO !!
