Student Services at Christ the King

The role of the Student Service counsellor is threefold: to provide academic, career and personal counselling to CtK students. The objective of Student Services is to support and assist each student in achieving their academic, personal and spiritual potential. The Student Services Department is headed by Ms. C. Favero.  Other counsellors in Student Services include: Mrs. Vasile, Mrs. Waters and Mrs. Kelenc. Students are assigned to their counsellor by grade and alpha, according to their surname.

Mrs. Hewson, the Student Services secretary, will ensure that all student and parent inquiries are addressed. Please note that students may make an appointment on-site. Students are encouraged to make appointments on their lunch time and spare periods whenever possible.

Class Portal

Community Service Hours

Completing 40 hours of Community Service is a mandatory graduation requirement for all students in Ontario secondary schools.  Click on the link below to access information and the form required for Community Service hours.  Please complete the form (signatures are required) and submit to Student Services when you acquire all 40 hours.

Pathways in the HCDSB involves students and their parents, using relevant information about themselves and the world around them, to make informed decisions in a Faith-centered environment, that leads them to  their destination.

The evenings provide an opportunity for parents and students grade 9- 12 to learn more about the four Pathway Destinations :

 Apprenticeship, College, University, Workplace

The evenings will showcase the many regional programs available to our students including:

SHSM – Specialist High Skills Major

Student Activity Fee

The Student Activity Fee for the current year is $65.00. The Student Activity Fee includes, but is not limited to the following:

Student Agenda
Academic Awards
School Yearbook
School Assemblies, Special Events
Co-curricular activities
Facilitating Student Leadership, Conferences

The Student Activity Fee supports activities and materials that enhance school life experiences; however, if there are concerns with the payment of this fee, please contact the school Principal.
