Progress reports will be distributed to students on March 18, 2019 during period 1. Parent-Teacher Interviews will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Interview appointment slips will also be distributed on March 18. Students should arrange interview times for their parents with their individual teachers following the break. If teachers do not have any appointments left, parents are encouraged to contact the subject teacher directly, via email. The email for the teachers can be located on our school website, (www.ctk.ca) under Contact Us. Interviews will take place at the school in either the gym or cafeteria.
The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test will be written on March 27, 2019. Students who are not involved in the literacy test (i.e. Grades 9, 11, 12) will begin Period 1 at 12:15 p.m. The school day will conclude at our regular time of 2:30 p.m. Please note that Wednesday March 27 will be a regular uniform day. Transportation will be operating on a regular school day schedule. Students arriving at the regular school time, and who are not writing the literacy test, will be provided a supervised study area.

Guidance Counsellors have completed Course Selection Presentations for all grades. Counsellors have also been hosting Lunch and Learns during the lunch hours answering course selection questions for the 2019-2020 school year. Course Selections are DUE FEBRUARY 26-28, 2019. Counsellors will be calling classes during period 4 to collect their Course Selection Package (myBlueprint Course Sign-Off Package as well as the $65 School Cash Online receipt). The Halton Catholic Children’s Education Foundation (HCCEF) is currently seeking input from the HCDSB community!
HCCEF is charitable organization that supports students and families in the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB). While HCCEF directs its funds toward our board, it is an independent foundation, governed by its own Board of Directors. HCCEF is asking community members to share their feedback so that they are able to help more students and families in our community. Environment Canada has issued a Freezing Rain Warning for Halton Hills for this evening, Wednesday February 20 – freezing rain is expected later today and will continue into the evening hours making road conditions hazardous. Please therefore be advised that, due to the impending inclement weather, the Pathways Evening scheduled for tonight is CANCELLED.
Additionally, the CtK Catholic School Council meeting is also CANCELLED for tonight and will be rescheduled. A new date for the Catholic School Council meeting will be communicated to council members next week and posted on the CtK Week at Glance. Please be safe on the roads this evening.
