HCDSB STudent Senate is composed of 8 representatives from each secondary school and was designed to establish a student vision for the Halton Catholic District Student Board. Its members, student senators, provide a link between the Student Trustees and the remainder of the student population in the board. The primary role of the Student Senate is to bring a more diverse “Catholic Student Voice” to the school board.
Student Senators act as an advisory body to the Student Trustees in order to provide a wider perspective on issues that face students in our Catholic schools and develop and organize initiatives that will illustrate their leadership abilities. Examples of past initiatives include the “See the Problem, Be the Solution” and student-lead leadership conference on a variety of current interests

School Climate Survey for Parents
Parents are invited to complete an online survey! The School Climate Survey for Parents will be available from April 3, 2018 through April 30, 2018.
School Climate Surveys are conducted every two years to gather information from parents, students, and staff to help us create and sustain safe and welcoming schools.
In our continuing effort to increase school effectiveness and improve school climate, the survey provides feedback to each school about the extent to which parents feel their school supports learning and positive behavior, and promotes a safe and inclusive environment.
Parents are encouraged to check their email inbox during the week of April 3, 2018, to access a link to the online survey and a password, sent by the HCDSB.
The survey is completely voluntary and all participants will remain anonymous.
