The Student Activity Fee is an annual voluntary fee that is used to offset costs for school initiatives, materials and activities, such as, but not limited to the following:
o Entry fees
o Referees fees
o Uniform costs
o Practice facility fees e.g. hockey arenas, swimming pools. etc.
o Hotels food and costs if OFSAA bound
o Medals, awards and trophies
o Sports Banquet
o Graduation Awards
o Academic and Internal Awards
o Special Awards
o Plaques and trophies
Student Locks for Lockers
o Summer letters to families
o Final June Report Card
Guest Speakers (e.g. Bullying Prevention)
Parent Engagement Events
o Developing costs
o Transportation and training costs for students
o Printing costs
o Camera equipment
o Computers and scanners for film
o Cables for events
o Microphones – portable and remote
o Extension cords
o Rights to perform
o Front of House
o Rentals i.e. technical equipment, stage etc.
o Paint, Lighting equipment, etc.

The support of parents through the Student Activity Fee makes it possible for our school to continue to provide many of the valuable initiatives, materials and activities that enhance the school experience for our students.
In accordance with Policy II-47, it is our school and Board’s commitment that every student should have an equal opportunity to benefit from the school environment, regardless of financial hardships or barriers. Families who are unable to pay the Student Activity Fee are encouraged to contact the School Principal.
